Our Philosophy & Mission

The Silvertip Golf Academy is focused solely around you and your golf related goals and ambitions. We recognize that every golfer is different and that there are many different styles of learning, many different approaches to the game and many different expectations from instruction. We begin by determining your expectations for learning and structure our programs to meet your goals. In other words: We teach you what you want to learn not what we want to teach you.

Our Instructors

Kelli’s experience includes a winning combination of financial and golf management. She spent eleven years at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, working her way up to the position of Head Golf Professional. There, she managed a team of 30, running an extensive golf program which included member and corporate events. Winner of numerous teaching awards, her work has also been published through local magazines and newspapers. Kelli’s recent background was with RBC as an Investment Retirement Planner. She also brings with her extensive experience in retail sales and merchandising.

Patrick is an exceptional young golf professional who possesses a wealth of experience in the golf industry. Patrick brings with him 6 years of experience including 3 years at two of the top ranked golf courses in Canada - Angus Glen Golf Club and the prestigious Oakdale Golf & Country Club. Patrick started his golf career as a member at the Cutten Club in Guelph, Ontario where he was a part of their junior golf team from 1999 -2003. While studying Professional Golf Management at Humber College and working at the Oakdale Golf & C.C., Patrick had the privilege of receiving the tutelage of Bob Beauchemin, the head Golf Instructor at Oakdale, one of the top 50 golf instructors in Canada. Patrick’s relationship with Mr. Beauchemin is very strong and his guidance has made quite an impression.

Patrick’s enthusiasm and passion for the game of golf was instrumental in the creation of the Silvertip Golf Academy.

Originally from Ottawa, Ontario and a graduate of Business Administration - Professional Golf Management at Georgian College, Brad came to Canmore after spending four years at The Marshes Golf Club in Ottawa. Brad has learned the game from great teaching professionals such as Don Rioux and Roger Beale former CPGA Tour players. These mentors have helped him develop a good understanding of the training techniques of players of all skill levels by assisting teaching junior camps, ladies clinics, and individual lessons. He continues to further his knowledge by attending seminars and Teaching and Coaching Certification Program where he has learned teaching methodology and swing mechanics. Brad looks forward to expand his teaching knowledge with the tutelage of Kelli Fry and lending some insight on the game through teaching and coaching at The Silvertip Golf Academy.
